More Maintenance

I'm puttering around trying to figure how to completely change over to my Gmail addresses. I've been trying to set up my new home address to function with my Apple Mail, but I'm not having good results (it says my IMAP info isn't set up - ah! but it is!). If you have a Gmail account that you use with another mail program such as Apple mail or Eudora, could you let me know how you do it? I'd appreciate it. I have a Google Notifier, but that only works well with one Gmail account.

Technically Challenged in the Carolinas,
Scott

I think I got it whupped. If you don't hear anything ever again about it, which you're wishing you don't, then it's true.

Scott - you are too funny! Perhaps you should read the instruction manual - do guys ever do that? Actually, do computers even come with them? That should show you my technical expertise. So, there you have it.

However, blogging about changing e-mail addresses (two blogs I've noticed) lets me know that there isn't much happening in Denton.

Hey, shouldn't you be homeschooling anyway? How is your child going to learn how to use a computer? What about their socialization?

Things aren't too slow around here, Robin. I'm just not sure what to say about any of it without offending countless people. Including, I think, myself. : )

Because some of it has to do with my own confusion about my thoughts about certain issues. My heart being at conflict with my heart in the political arena.

And some of it is just my spending more time watching news and reading books. And helping my son, in particular, play Lego Star Wars.

Understandable! I agree to a degree with your writing about the upcoming election. Reid and I both have had a difficult time this year finding a candidate to get excited about. For a while we like Mike Huckabee, but I am not sure he will be in it for the long-haul. I rest in knowing that truly it is God who ultimately decides those in authority over us - so I've tried not to get overly caught up in it. As the calendar rolls closer to November, I'll feel differently. There is a LOT to think about and weigh out. Pro-Life, Immigration, War in Iraq, Healthcare. The best we can do is pray - as you said - and study God's Word to see what he says about these issues. Then vote accordingly. By the way, I admire you for stepping out there and sharing your political views. I tend to always stay on more neutral subjects on my blog - namely, my family. Thanks for stepping out there. Who won Lego Star Wars - Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker???
