Season 1

I watched 24: Season 1 last week. Great show. That's all I have to say. I'm going to work in Season 2 a little more gingerly into my Netflix viewings this week due to the rather strong suggestion by my wife. No problem.

God bless Laura.

Would the strong suggestion have been made when you were:

a. unconsciously wiping away spittle as you eagerly recounted the virtues of the aforementioned show?

or

b. lying on the couch at 2 a.m., chip crumbs sprinkled over your chest, bottles strewn about the floor, the blue light of the television flickering on the walls around you?

Tell us do.

Pretty much both of those scenarios, though either one would have sufficed. I'll have to queue up a chick flick for this weekend to appease her, then it's just me and Jack again.

But I'm not an addict or anything.

Oh good.

They say to acknowledge a problem...

I can't remember what they say.

Ah, you've succombed to the siren song of 24 too! Alas, alack...like you, I'm a goner! Netflix has screwed with me too--they sent me something BORING before I had a chance to update my queue. OK...that was my fault, but I'm still blaming netflix for not being able to read my mind, like they think they can. Burn me once...I'm ON TOP OF IT NOW! I'm always sure to update my queue, just as I send the last one out the door. But as of today, I'm without any 24, and greedily awaiting the arrival of the postman tomorrow. I just might be hiding behind a bush tomorrow, ready to tackle him when he gets out, followed by a madman's run back to my DVD player, which will be sitting there, open and ready for the disc to be placed inside. On the other side: sweet, sweet release. For a little while anyway.

lol - what season are you on, Dan?

Better question, ask him how many DVD's he has on rotation? - because he is giving up cable.

Ah, so he's not on the 3-per plan, eh? Nice.

Yup, I'm on the five plan. Very nice, especially if you're planning on giving up cable. Which I had planned to do, way back in Januray. I called one day, finally cancelled my cable. They called back, asked me if I'd consider going to basic. I told him I found basic to be boring, and that I'd rather just not have it. They countered: how about six months at $30? I said OK. And never changed my Netflix back to 3 per plan. I'm addicted to both, alas, alack. I'd be gone, if it wasn't for the Food Network.

Oh, I'm on Season Two, Scott. Good stuff!
