Right Interpretation and the Magisterium of the Church

Well, here goes. Instead of private offense, I am asking for public dialogue. If you believe in sola Scriptura and are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant, please skip this one. Otherwise, click here for today's CCDB post.

Sorry my response is not a more theological one, but reading your post over at CCDB, I was reminded of a t-shirt design I saw the other day. Check it out here.

Ok, the link didn't work right for some reason. When you click on it, select the shirt category "Just Words" from the left hand margin, then check out the third t-shirt from the left, top row.

Sheesh. I could have just described it to you.

Resistance is futile.

Anna, are you aeko? If so, I've responded to your very-correct assertion over at CCDB. If you're not, I still responded over there. : )

Scott,

I just posted a bit of a rant over at the Catholic blog. It struck a chord in my belong-to-a-Catholic-family-with-a-brother's-who's-a-priest-protetant self, and I just typed away. I fear it's a bit outside the realm and intention of your blog over there.

I picked up on the chord-striking, Dan. 'sokay. I'll try to post a response later. Or I might just let it sit - it might be good for all of us over there.

Obviously, I appreciate *cough*you're going to hell*cough* your honesty. ; )

Seriously, thanks for the comment - I've been interested in hearing your reasons, in the midst of your situation, for choosing to remain Protestant. I'm now, in a way, Bizarro Dan since I'm the only Catholic in a family of Protestants. I've taken quite the heat for it already, and I'm sure, conversely, you've seen your share of fire.

Well, there's WAY more than you want to read, over at the Catholic blog. Quite the tome, but I find this incredibly stimulating. But now, it's off to bed. It'd be much better over a pint, or maybe some hard cider, which is quite tasty, by the way.

Off to bed!

Oh...and perhaps you'll get a little kick out of how I slid a musical concept in their as a argument against the inerrancy of the Magisterium. That's basically in there just to see if anyone's still reading the dang thing.

Very funny, Dan - I'll have to take you up on that pint, or hard cider (which I've been itching for) next time I'm in Michigan.

Nice musical jab, by the way.
